Soft and approachable nose with hints of dark fruit and a touch of smokiness. Flavors of Bing cherry and caramel on the palate, followed by a smooth round finish that lingers with a touch of currant and spice. A versatile wine that can be enjoyed with something as simple as a hamburger or as decadent as grilled lamb.

A 90-10 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot sourced from Rutherford, Atlas Peak and Mount Veeder, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is a project coming out of Opici Wine & Spirits. Notes of cherries, menthol and vanilla come together in a slightly medicinal way on the nose, while the medium-bodied palate is fluid and lacking in concentration. Soft and coming dangerously close to being sweet, it's not a bad wine per se, but it is a boring, flaccid one.
